WHAT AREAS DOES GAVCOM MEDIA PRODUCTIONS SERVE?
Our head office is located in Milton, Ontario, but most of our events happen throughout the Greater Toronto Area and beyond. We can assist you with your audio visual needs across North America. Contact us today for more information.
DO I HAVE TO USE THE IN-HOUSE AV COMPANY?
Clients are often told by the venue that they “must” use the in-house AV. You never have to use the in-house AV company. Venues will always allow outside AV companies to provide services, however, there may be conditions. Before you sign on the dotted line, make sure you ask the venue if there are any outside AV fees (and make sure you try to negotiate these fees!). You should also ensure that there are no union requirements in the venue that require you to use in-house labour or similar requirements if you are rigging equipment.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE IN-HOUSE AV COMPANY AND AN OUTSIDE AV COMPANY?
An in-house AV company has a contract with the venue to provide AV services to venue clients. A percentage of each order (up to 60% in some cases) is paid to the venue. In other cases, the in-house AV company may be just a preferred vendor that has an existing venue relationship.
An outside AV company, like GavCom Media Productions, has no contract with the venue. Working as an independent contractor, we work only for you and do not share our profits with the venue.
DO YOU RENT AV EQUIPMENT TO INDIVIDUALS OR FOR PRIVATE PARTIES?
GavCom Media Productions currently only rents audio visual equipment to corporations.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Please provide GavCom Media Productions with 48 hours notice if you need to cancel your event. After 48 hours of notice, you will be charged the full price for your event.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I HAVE TO BOOK MY AV SERVICES?
As soon as possible! Depending on the size of your event, we recommend at least five business days before the event to give us time in case of changes or a site inspection is required.
